Ballisodare United was founded in 1975 by TJ Mc Manamon, Jim Browne & Gerry O'Connell.

Ballisodare United played in its footballing home of Sports Field, Abbey Drive from 1982 and in 2009 moved to Youngs Quarry and In 2019 the club opened up a new full-sized FIFA quality 3G pitch with floodlighting hosting our Annual Atlantic Cup
