The Sligo Bay Lobsters Women’s League begins this weekend with clubs Arrow Harps, Ballisodare United, Ballymote Celtic, Calry Bohs, Carrick Town, Glenview Stars, Gurteen Celtic, Manorhamilton Rangers, Kilglass Enniscrone United, Real Tubber, Valley Rovers and Yeats United joining the league.

Best of luck to our own women's team and all clubs on what promises to be a great season ahead.

Player Management team of Selina Mulrennan, Audi Dinan, & Elaine Crossan have the ladies well prepared over the last few weeks including reaching the Semi final of the Yeats 7's tournament. Selina Mulrennan was a in our last womens team to represent the club who in fact won the double in 2011 with current players Colleen Cavanagh, Ciara Horan and Rachel Adams playing huge roles in the success of this all conquering team.

Selina says "The women have shown great application and attitude in our training sessions and we have a great balance of youth and experience throughout our squad, it is great to have a women's team back in Ballisodare and we look forward to a very enjoyable season"
