We huffed and puffed in the first half and went in 1-0 up at half time courtesy of an Alex Smith goal.

We came out a different side in the second half and scored four more with the prolific Alex Smith completing his hat trick.

A great strike from Lee Lougheed extended the lead and the last goal coming from the exceptional Shane Durkan.

Under 16s beat Benbulben fc 2-1 today in a game that moves us up to second in the league.

We had a poor first half and went in 1-0 down.

Second half after some rousing words in the dressing room we came out a different team and equalised through an Aaron Lougheed goal.

From there on we were the better team and we took the lead from a brilliant assist from goalkeeper Adam Jones to the prolific Alex Smith who chipped the keeper who was off his line to make it 2-1.

Fantastic second half performance from all but would be remiss not acknowledge a man of the match performance by an absolute country mile for Jack Nicholson who came off the bench to put in an unbelievable performance that deserves player of the match.

BOYS U 11 PREMIERSHIP - Ballisodare United U11 Boys V Arrow Harps - Cleveragh AstroP3 (NEUTRAL) (WIN)

The Under 11s white team maintained their 100% record in the league with a gutsy 4-3 win over a spirited Arrow Harps side .

The game really was nip and tuck, with both sides showing admirable composure on the ball despite the foggy conditions.

Ultimately slightly more composed finishing, and a superb performance from Whites goalkeeper Josh Jordan, in particular a tremendous double save in the first half, which was applauded by both sets of supporters, ensured the victory.

For once we got off to a great start with Shane Gethins netting two quick goals in the 4th and 7th minute.

KEUFC pulled one back early in the second half but another brace of goals by super striker Gethins won us the game by a margin that was deserved.

Sinead Casey denied a goal for supposly been off side.

Unfortunately Tubber got a quick break 10 minutes later and time was against the Ballisodare ladies.

Boys u1 3 GRPC - Ballisodare United U13 Boys Carrick Town - Showgrounds, Carrick-On-Shannon (AWAY) (WIN)

The u13 white team, captained by Tommy Walsh, were unlucky to lose in a tight game against Carrick Town this morning in Carrick On Shannon.

Oran Hynes opened the scoring on 4’ finishing off a Dylan Hughes assist.

Carrick equalised on 26’ but Oran grabbed his 2nd from long range a minute later, assist from Conor Cuskelly.

Carrick equalised after half time, but midway through the half Oran finished off his hat-trick with another great strike from the left.

Carrick equalised a few mins later and then converted a penalty in the last minute.

The lads were unlucky not to get at least a draw, in a tough game.

Boys u 13 GRPB - Ballisodare United U13 Boys 4-3 Dromohaire Fc - Dromohaire (AWAY) (WIN)

The lads came out on top yesterday after strong performance in Dromahair.

They had the better chances of the 1st half but went in 1-0 down.

We equalised 5 minutes into the second half and never looked back going 4-2 up and conceding in the last minute to finish 4-3.

Goals came from Charlie Nicolson and Bobby Sweeney both getting 2 each.

BOYS u15 GRPB CUP SEMI FINAL - Ballisodare United 2-2 Calry Bohs - Summerhill Astro (AWAY) (WIN 4-1 ON PENS)

BUFC 2 - 2 Calry on full time we won 4 - 1 on pens.

Unbelievable day, we had 7 players available yesterday, 2 lads changed plans and we called 3 new players up from u14.

In a windy Summerhill the first half ended nil all with both teams having good chances.

Second half and Calry went 2 nil up and were well on top, we made some tactical changes pulling Daniel Toolan and Jack Galvin to midfield.

We then we started to get a grip of things, with two sublime defence penetrating passed from Daniel Toolan, Jayden Gilgan found his scoring form and pulled us level.

It was the amazing Philip McManus that kept is in the game with 2 huge saves near the end of the game when the ball seemed destined for the net.

We went straight to pens and our lads were perfect scoring 4 out of 4 but again it was Philip who stole the show with 2 saves and got a hand to the third.

Brilliant team performance from all the lads in a relatively makeshift team.

Thanks to Sean Kelly, Leon Egan and Evan Clarke who joined us today and were excellent.  Sometimes miracles happen. We play Ballymote in the final.
