Girls u13 GrpA - BUFC U13 Girls V Manor Rangers - Dromohaire FC Astro (AWAY) (LOSS)

U13 girls minus a few key players put in a battling performance but went down 7-4 to Manor.

Tara (2) and Tessa (2) with our goals.

A slow start to the second half cost us dearly on the day but nevertheless the girls gave it there all and fought hard to the end.

Best wishes and speedy recovery to Riona who incurred a nasty injury pre match playing GAA

Boys u 12 GRPA - BUFC U12 Reds Boys V Arrow Harps - Riverstown (AWAY) (WIN)

BOYS U 14 GRPA - BUFC U14 Boys 4-2 Benbulben FC - Astro Pitch Ballisodare (HOME) (WIN)

The u-14's lads secure the 3 points this morning vs a strong Benbulben side this morning at our Astro captained by Adam Finn.

We opened the scoring with a 30 yard strike from Callum Kenny that caught the keeper out.

Benbulben then went on to score 2 before halftime capitalising on some sloppy play from us.

The lads restarted the second half the same way they did the first and soon found themselves level after a great individual run and finish from Daniel Connolly.

Soon after Tommy King slotted home to put us 3-2 up.

And although Benbulben had their chance and struck the woodwork it was the BUFC lads who where in control and shortly before the full time whistle Tommy King added his second of the day.

BOYS U 12 GRPB - BUFC U12 Whites Boys V Abbey United - Sean Fallon Park (AWAY) (WIN)

GIRLS U 15 - BUFC U15 Girls V Manor Rangers - Dromohaire FC Astro (AWAY) (LOSS)

Our u15 girls again put up a gallant display against a very strong Manor side. Credit to the girls for keeping going with great enthusiasm until the final whistle. Big shout out to Holly O'Reilly from the u13 squad who made her U15 debut today and certainly did not look out of place and steadied the ship at the back.

Sligo Pallets Premier League - BUFC Senior Mens 1-2 Coolaney United - Coolaney (AWAY) (LOSS)

Ballisodare United got the dream start in Coolaney with Adam Grace getting on the end of a Luke Middleton corner after 2 minutes.

After 20 minutes of pressure and seven more corners to BUFC, Coolaney got their first corner and made it count when Stanley Harte finished well, 1-1 after 24 minutes.

The game turned into a battle with the wind playing a massive part.

BUFC couldn't find a goal to go into the break ahead and faced a stiff breeze and game opposition in the second half.

The second half saw very little goalmouth activity.

Coolaney got what proved to be the winning goal when a brilliantly struck free kick was well saved onto the bar by Gavin Phelan but Alan Duggan was on hand to tap into the open net, 2-1 Coolaney.

A frustrating day and result for the BUFC side who will need to regroup and attempt to make the final third of the league season a flawless one, results wise.

BOYS U 11 PREMIERSHIP - BUFC U11 Boys 3-4 Carrick Blue - Cleveragh (NEUTRAL) (LOSS)

The under 11s White Team put up a spirited display despite suffering their first defeat to Carrick 4-3 on Sunday afternoon.

Some enforced changes to the side meant Carrick started slightly on top, before Ballisodare found their stride and equalised just before half time, 1-1.

The 2nd half started in a similar fashion to the 1st, and saw the White Team go 4-1 down early doors, but the lads never let their heads drop, and displayed great determination and teamwork to pull it back to 4-3.

They laid siege to the Carrick goal in the last few minutes and with a little bit more composure in front if goal, we would have got something from the game .

The result is not important. What matters is the never say die attitude the lads showed all the way through. Very proud of all the lads

Friendly - BUFC U13 Boys V Valley Rovers - Astro Pitch Ballisodare (HOME) (WIN)

U-13 Group B lads had a good run out this evening vs Valley Rovers.

There was only the bare 11 today as a few had to pull out sick.

But the 11 lads dug deep and ran out winners. Our goalscorers today were Bobby Sweeney, Daniel McPadden with a hat-trick, Wiktor Grabowski, Conor Cuskelly, Max Verdon and Charlie Nicholson.

Friendly - BUFC U15 Boys V Strand Celtic - Astro Pitch Ballisodare (HOME) (WIN ON PENOS)

U15 boys had a good run out v Strand A this evening, with 17 players we started strongly and led 2 nil at half time with Goals from Jayden Gilgan and an excellent finish from Adam Finn.

Daniel Toolan made and finished a third early in the second half before we rolled the subs, Strand then pulled 3 goals back but Philip McManus was excellent in goal again.

We went to penalties and won out 5 - 3.

A good run for the lads ahead of Cup final V Ballymote on Friday 9th Feb.

Rugatinos Boys U18 - BUFC U18 Boys 2-2 Merville United - Astro Pitch Ballisodare (HOME) (DRAW)

U18s drew 2 all with Merville this evening.

We went one nil down after Merville capitalised on a misfortunate error.

Michael Currid got us back in the game with a goal forced home from a corner.

We pushed hard in the second half to go in front but we were hit with Merville's second.

Our equaliser came from the head of Eoin Dooner.

Try as we might, we couldn't get a winner despite numerous chances. One of those nights.
