SFAI Subway Boys U12 Cup Last 32 - BUFC U12 Reds Boys 0-1 Glenmuir (AWAY) (LOSS)

Conn Shield Boys u14 - BUFC U14 Boys 1-2 Ballyvarry (AWAY) (LOSS)

The U14 Boys were beaten in the last 16 of the Connacht Shield going down 2 - 1 to Ballyvary.

We were unfortunate to lose our keeper Philip McManus to a hand injury 5 mins before kick off which meant Adam Finn had to dust off the gloves.

The lads still gave a great account of themselves and probably deserved at least to get the game to extra time with Daniel Connolly, Tommy King, Callum Kenny, Ben Lynch and Connor Keenan all forcing the Ballyvary keeper to make some great saves.

Our goalscorer today was Tommy King

BOYS U 11 La Liga - BUFC U11 Boys 2-2 St Johns - Cleveragh Astro (NEUTRAL) (DRAW)

The under 11s red team played out a thrilling 2-2 draw with a very talented St.Johns side on Sunday morning.

The lads were a bit slow out of the blocks and only some inspired goalkeeping by Daithi Browne kept the scoreline at 0-0.

To their credit, the lads found their stride as the half wore on, and deservedly took thread with a fine strike just before the half time whistle.

It was nip and tuck through the second half, but 2 great goals from St. John's looked like sealing the victory, before the goal of the game from Conor Crossan in the last minute ensured a share of the spoils, which both teams had earned.

It really was a great game of football, and what was really heartwarming was the comments from both sets of supporters at the end of the game, regarding the high standard of football both teams had produced

GIRLS U11 SERIE A - BUFC U11 Girls 1-3 Abbey United - Cleveragh Astro (NEUTRAL) (LOSS)

Here are our u11 girls who played in Cleveragh very early this morning.

The team is wearing our new Jerseys generously sponsored by a big fan of our young girls sides and it is greatly appreciated by the club .

On duty were Fay, JJ, Mya, Jessica, Gloria and a big shoutout to the two girls making their debuts today Holly Ryan and Gracie Hunter.

We may have lost the game narrowly but our girls gave it their all and can be proud of their efforts this morning.

Connacht Cup Men 's Round 3- BUFC Senior Mens 2-5 Moore United, Roscommon - Astro Pitch Ballisodare (HOME) (LOSS)

Ballisodare United Senior Men's welcomed Roscommon Champions Moore United in the Last 32 of the Connacht Cup.

The game started off as a typical Connacht Cup game with both sides battling to gain the upper hand.

Moore struck first when they were awarded a penalty and Josh Lennon slotted home.

BUFC stayed in the fight on what was a windy day at the foot of Union Wood.

Good play by Darragh Healy and a pinpoint cross by youngster Ben Sherlock was met by captain Stephen Fallon who slotted home to make it 1-1 after 40 minutes.

The game started to get way from BUFC after 90 seconds of the second half.

Another penalty and another great finish from Josh Lennon to put Moore United 2-1 up.

Five minutes later Alan Duffy made it 3-1 to Moore and BUFC had an uphill battle.

The impressive Josh Lennon grabbed his hat trick soon after to make it 4-1.

A Stephen Fallon own goal gave Moore a 5-1 lead which made the scoreline large in what was often a very even game.

BUFCs Darragh Healy stepped up to put the Moore keeper the wrong way from the penalty spot with under 10 minutes remaining and the game finished 5-2.

Best of luck to Moore United in the rest of the Connacht Cup. Ballisodare United are back in league action against Dromohair next Sunday at 11am
