19/02/2024 - Ivor Parkes Painter And Decorators U17 League - BUFC U17 Boys 1-5 St. Johns FC - Astro Pitch Ballisodare (HOME) (LOSS)

BUFC U17s Lost their final league game to St. Johns On Monday night.

Runners up place was up for grabs.

The scoreline did not really reflect the game with both sides struggling with numbers due to injuries which is disappointing from our own perspective but no excuses we were beaten by a better side.

BUFC U18 Boys

10/02/2024 - Connaught Shield - BUFC U18 Boys 3-2 Swinford - Swinford (AWAY) (WIN)M (AET)

The Under 18s qualified for the Quarter Final of the Connaught Shield by beating Swinford FC 3-2 today, after extra time.

Ben Sherlock opened the scoring after great work from Keith Cotter, Shane Gethins and James Carney on the left hand side.

Keith cut back the ball for Ben to rifle home.

We got a bit complacent and allowed to Swinford to equalize.

However Ben scored his second goal of the game, a fantastic finish after good work and pass from Cameron Flanagan.

Unfortunately, Swinford equalised to bring the game into extra time.

Super sub Darragh Sweeney scored the winner in extra time.

He combined well with Ben on the right hand side of the box and placed the ball in the corner of the net past Swinford goalkeeper.

It was a well deserved victory for the lads.

14/02/2024 - Rugatinos Boys U18 League - BUFC U18 Boys 7-0 St. Johns FC - Mac Sharry Park (AWAY) (WIN)

U18s had a fantastic 7 nil win vs St John's this evening. 

A dominant performance saw Michael Currid score a perfect hat-trick.

Although, his celebration needs working on.

Not to be outdone, Shane Gethins got four goals for the second time this season. 

A terrific performance by all. Now onto the knock out competitions.

BUFC Senior Mens

11/02/2024 - Sligo Pallets Premier League - BUFC Senior Mens 11-1 Dromahair FC - Astro Pitch Ballisodare (HOME) (WIN)

Ballisodare United welcomed Dromohair to Ballisodare Astro.

The home side took the lead after 6 minutes when Darragh Healy finished calmly.

Dromohair stayed in the game and capitalised on a Ballisodare defensive lapse to equalise through a well taken Shaun Conlon goal.

It looked to be heading into the break all level until Paul Scanlon scored a great individual goal for the home side, 2-1 to Ballisodare.

Ballisodare moved through the gears in the second half.

Paul Scanlon grabbed his second to make it 3-1.

Subs Keith Cotter and Adam Grace got two each, Darragh Healy grabbed another two goals to complete his hat trick.

U17 player Ben Sherlock got on the scoresheet and Aaron Scanlon rounded off the scoring to make it 11-1.

It was a result that didn't look likely as Dromohair had an even share of proceedings in the first half but a strong second half showing from the Boys of Ballisodare.

18/02/2024 - Sligo Pallets Premier League - BUFC Senior Mens 6-0 KEUFC - Michael Mc Gowan PK - (AWAY) (WIN)

Ballisodare United Travelled to take on Kilglass Enniscrone in Michael Mc Gowan Park and came away with the three points maintaining third spot in the league table.

A fine performance all round with three goals in each Half Secured the three points for Ballisodare Utd.

Aaron Scanlon and Adam Grace scoring two each and a goal each from Stephen Fallon and Paul Scanlon ensured the victory.

25/02/2024 - Sligo Pallets Premier League - BUFC Senior Mens 6-3 Ballygawley Celtic - Astro Pitch Ballisodare (HOME) (WIN)

Ballisodare took all 3 points at home to neighbours Ballygawley.

First half goals from Aaron Scanlon, Adam Grace, Luke Middleton and two for Darragh Healy made it 5-0 at half time.

Stalwart Kevin O'Hara made it 6-0.

Ballygawley fought back with three goals of their own through James Mackey and two for Ryan Walsh.

A good first half and disappointing second half from BUFC who play Strand Celtic Reserves next weekend.
