Boys u 13 GRPB - BUFC U13 Boys 3-2 Gurteen Celtic - Astro Pitch Ballisodare (HOME) (WIN)

The u13 red team captained by Chrystal Dele today and with just the bare 11 players took all 3 points this morning against a strong Gurteen Celtic side.

The lads played fantastic football, and we took a 2 nil lead into half time through goals from Daniel Mc Padden and Bobby Sweene.

In truth, having hit the post 4 times, we should have been further in front.

Gurteen started the second half well and although we created some decent chances and forced the Gurteen keeper to make some good saves the lads found themselves level at 2-2.

With 5 minuts to go and no subs Bobby Sweeney stepped into goals to let Ethan Stoodley out and within a minute Ethan Stoodley had the ball in the net to send us 3-2 up.

2 minutes later Stephen Gillespie had the ball in the net with a fantastic finish after a great passing move bur was ruled offside.

It was great team performance and all 11 dug deep to get the win today.

Boys u13 GRPC - BUFC U13 Boys 6-2 Real Tubber - Showfields Tubbercurry (AWAY) (WIN)

The u13 white team captained GK Ryan Fallon had an impressive win on a bad pitch in Tubbercurry this afternoon.

Although the pitch was bad and the weather matched it, the lads with a strong wind behind then played some great football and went in at half time 3-0 up that to a 2 goals from Oran Hynes and 1 from Nathanial Mozerski.

Shortly after the restart Oran Hynes completed his hat trick. Before Tubber pulled 2 goals back.

The lads where still playing great football and Ryan Munnelly popped up at the back post to score our 5th.

Finally Conor Cuskelly dribbled into the box before he was taken down and was awarded a penalty.

Conor stepped up and took it himself.

The Tubber keeper made a great save from the spot but Conor reacted quickest and slotted home the rebound.

Another great performance for all 14 lads!!

Today's squad was: Ryan Fallon (C), Adrian Scanlon, Naoise Lang, Mark Drury, Teddy Helion, Nathanial Mozerski⚽, Dylan Hughes, Conor Cuskelly⚽, Oran Hynes⚽⚽⚽, Kyran Gethins, Tommy Walshe, Ryan Munnelly⚽, Conor Fallon and Diarmuid Rooney

BOYS U 11 La Liga - BUFC U11 V Boys Manor Rangers - Cleveragh Astro - (NEUTRAL) (WIN)

Great performance from the Reds today.

Took control of the game from the off, and took an early lead with a great Conor Crossan finish.

A bit more composure on the final ball would have seen the arrival of a 2nd, and we were made to pay for this with a great Manor equaliser.

The lads regained their composure and goals from Conor once more and Lincoln Barlow gave us a 3-1 lead at the interval.

The lads really stepped on the gas 2nd half and further goals from Conor, Lincoln and Conor Hughes put some further gloss on the scoreboard.

Really strong performance all round from the Reds.

What was really pleasing was the determination to play the game the right way, in particular the composure displayed in playing out from the back.

All players got at least a full half game time , and everyone made a huge contribution to the team performance

Sligo Pallets Premier League - BUFC Senior Mens 6-2 Strand Celtic Reserves - Astro Pitch Ballisodare (HOME) (WIN)

Away side Strand Celtic Reserves started strong and dominated the first 15 minutes.

Oisin McElhinney pounced on a loose ball to put the visitors 1-0 up.

Ballisodare regroup and a goal each from Keith Cotter and Stephen Fallon gave the home side a 2-1 lead at the break.

Ballisodare hit Strand two two more goals early in the first half through Michael Currid and Paul Scanlon to give us a 4-1 lead.

Strand got their second when Thomas Kinane finished hard and low after a well worked corner in the 58th minute.

Two minutes later Michael Currid grabbed his second for Ballisodare to make it 5-2.

The last goal of the game was a highlight with a well worked passing move from Ballisodare finished calmly by Niall Hahessy in the 80th minute.
