*U12 Group C Shield Final WINNERS!! - BUFC 7 v Yeats Utd 5 AET (3-3 FT)*
🏆 BUFC ran out 7- 5 winners after extra time against a very good Yeats United team 🏆
The u12 white team got their just rewards for a brilliant season by winning the Shield Final this morning in a baking MacSharry Park! Credit to both teams for a brilliant game of football, entertaining and dramatic to the end.
Odhran Hynes got our opener on 5 mins. Yeats equalised on 6 mins! Conor Fallon scored a repeat of his goal against Dromore Villa on 22 mins, Yeats equalised on 29 to make it 2-2 at HT.
Yeats took the lead in the 2nd half but Odhran Hynes made it 3-3 on 44mins! The post and the bar denied us more goals so it was into Extra Time of 10 mins aside!
Stephen Gillespie gave us the lead 2 mins into extra time, only for Yeats to equalise immediately.
Stephen Gillespie scored again 2 mins into 2nd half of ET. Then Odhran Hynes got his Hat-trick 3 mins later to make it 6-4. Yeats got their 5th to make it 6-5 with 3 mins to go and everybody’s nerves gone!! But Odhran Hynes secured the win a minute later triggering great celebrations at the final whistle!
Everyone of the lads played their heart out all season, with great skill and determination and more importantly they played as a team. On and off the pitch you will not meet a better bunch of lads - The future is bright for BUFC!!
